Dean DeBlois

Dean Allan DeBlois is a Canadian filmmaker and animator. He is best known for co-writing and directing the Oscar-nominated animated feature films Lilo & Stitch (2002) for Walt Disney Animation Studios, the How to Train Your Dragon film series (2010–2019) for DreamWorks Animation, and directing the documentary Heima (2007) about the Icelandic band Sigur Rós. He also returned to write and direct the 2025 live action remake of How to Train Your Dragon.
