Jon M. Chu
Jonathan Murray Chu is an American filmmaker. He is known for directing the romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians (2018), one of the first films by a major Hollywood studio to feature a majority cast of Asian descent, and the fantasy musicals Wicked (2024) and Wicked: For Good (2025), a two-part film adaptation of the stage musical. For directing Wicked, Chu won the National Board of Review Award for Best Director and Critics' Choice Award for Best Director.
