Val and Alix learn their family is heir to an unusual fortune - half an island off the coast of Maine. The girls are enchanted by the island, until strange things begin to happen. They hear howling dogs, but there are no dogs on the island. And, an old wooden Indian turns up in Alix's bed. Who's trying to scare them off?
