Linda Burke has lost everything. Linda’s mother is dead, and she never knew her father. Her half brother stole her share of the family inheritance, and her good name is gone. Now, she’s lost her freedom. Soon she’ll lose her life when she is executed for the murder of a man she didn’t kill. Deputy Kurt Michaels is flummoxed. He knows his duty under the law, and all evidence points at Linda. But something about her situation doesn’t ring true. The more he learns about Linda’s story, the greater his conviction that she is being framed. When unknown assailants make attempts on Linda’s life, Kurt is convinced a greater mystery lies behind the crime for which Linda is charged.
