Two policemen were on trial because of a crime two other men swore they did not commit. Except for the attractive daughter and astrologist mother of one of the policemen, no one wanted to talk about it. What was not being said in the small English town was more than mysterious; it was frightening. Antony Maitland sensed it when he took on the case.
