Dicionário Dos Primeiros Livros Impressos Em língua Portuguesa

No ratings yet

After several centuries of maturation, the Portuguese language from the late fifteenth century foreshadows what will be in the following centuries. The literary production of the era, either by translation of Latin and Castilian texts or the creation of original works contributed to the maturity of the Portuguese language, allowing the extension of the lexicon and the development of syntactical construction with an influence on the capacity for expression. The press, which came into use in Portugal during the reign of King João II, played a key role in the dissemination of texts and the development and maturity of the Portuguese language writing. This dictionary, with over eleven thousand entries, is based on the vocabulary of the following incunabula works: Sumário das Graças; Sacramental; Tratado de Confissom; Vita Christi; História do Mui Nobre Vespasiano Imperador de Roma; Constituições de D. Diogo de Sousa; Evangelhos e Epistolas com suas Exposicoes em Romance; and Regimento Proveitoso Contra a Pestenenca.
