Carol Berkley's vacation plans were abruptly changed when she had to take a business trip for her injured boss. As confidential secretary, she was well acquainted with the details of the Fawcett Construction Company's biggest projects. As word of delay after delay for their biggest contract had crossed her desk for many weeks, Carol grew more determined that Phil Duskin, the head manager of the job, should be fired. Before her departure, two unscrupulous looking men came to the office, and Carol took down notes of the men's conversation, further convincing her that the job manager was incompetent or on the take. Throughout her trip, Carol grew as a person and businesswoman, but not without making some big mistakes and miscalculations along the way.
