Katherine is becoming more and more terrified of a stalker no one believes exists. When she reaches out for help from Cole, a police detective, she didn't expect to be believed. Nor did she expect to feel the attraction to him she does. As soon as Cole sees Katherine he is stunned by the intimate feelings she evokes in him, and the protective urges he feels towards a woman he just met. Cole believes Katherine, especially when he finds out the rest of the story she didn't tell him.
