Thora was happily living a life of peace and contentment - until river pirates laid waste to her village and people. She had been destined from birth to serve the "Lady" goddess of her people due to a birthmark. Her training for her advancement was curtailed by the raid which sent her fleeing, alone except for her dog, Korn, into the wilderness.
