Polly and Frank are young and in love. But then the world is pulled apart by a deadly virus and Frank catches it. Polly can save him, but only by travelling forward in time to 1993 for a corporation who can fund his treatment. She cannot go back, so must leave her life behind. They plan to meet again in Galveston, Texas, in twelve years time. But when something goes wrong and Polly arrives late, Frank isn't there. Now she must navigate a terrifying new world to find him, and discover if their love has endured.
