Electrical services are a vital and costly component in any modern building. It is therefore essential that construction industry professionals in training and in their early years of practice understand the basic principles of services design. This book covers methods of wiring, schemes of distribution and protection for lighting and power installations for buildings of all types. For this third edition the section on hazardous areas has been substantially extended and new developments in alarms and warning systems using solid state electronics,have been included.
