No ratings yet
In 1914, KIM In-Sik, a teacher at the Joseon Court Music Study Institute, transcribed the yanggeum piece Yeongsan Hoesang into Western staff notation. Through interviews with performers, composers, and researchers, the film traces the sounds and sentiments lost or transformed in translation, examining the legacy of colonial music education and its continuing influence on Korean traditional music.
