Molly is at the beach with her father and sister when she notices a strange figure in the sea, staring, pointing, and laughing. No one else sees it, but it follows her and stands over her bed that night. The next day, the world feels wrong birds fly backwards, clocks freeze, and Molly becomes invisible. Her family panics, unable to find her. The figure keeps appearing, and time suddenly jumps forward. As hours pass, her father and sister age, growing desperate. Molly watches a TV plea from her father, begging for her return, and breaks down, unable to comfort them. That night, she hides in a car and attacks the figure when it appears, but it only laughs. She wakes to normal time. Her family, now fifteen years older, finally see her again and embraces her. In the distance, the figure still stands, bloodied, laughing.
