Chabot Jazz Combo Concert featuring Richard Conway

The Chabot College Music Department kicked off its Fall 2025 concert series with an intimate, improvisation-focused evening showcasing the department's small jazz ensembles. Richard Conway: Bringing years of professional experience, veteran trumpet player and educator Richard Conway joined the student combos on stage. Known for his warm tone, lyrical melodic phrasing, and deep roots in the classic bop tradition, Conway integrated seamlessly into the small-group format, trading solos and mentoring the young musicians in real-time.
