Completed in 1991 by the acclaimed director and writer Eng. Latif Ahmadi, "GUMASHTA" stands as a poignant reflection of societal realities, human struggle, and justice. Due to the outbreak of the Afghan civil war shortly after its completion, this film never received its official theatrical premiere. For over three decades, it remained locked away in the archives—an untouched time capsule of a golden era of Afghan filmmaking.
