The population of Earth has been infected by an unknown virus. The infected turn into rage‑driven cannibalistic mutants. A year after the pandemic began, only a few scattered groups of survivors remain. During one of their forays to gather medicine and food, the members of the small group encounter a strange couple — a doctor and a little girl. They are unarmed, and it’s unclear how they managed to survive.
