With a sound that's cool, sophisticated and uplifting, Shakatak, the leading light of the British jazz-funk scene in the 1980s, plays an elegant, sophisticated and laid-back type of jazz-funk that echoes American bands such as Spyro Gyra and the Brecker Brothers.
