Thirty villages, each with a different landscape of life, and one sea that embraces them all. This documentary records the scenery, the people and the traces of life layered there over a long time. Like the incoming tide, time keeps flowing into the villages and out again. Some leave; others return. The villages change little by little. Yet the sea is still there, and so are the people's memories and lives. The film slowly observes the memories of home and the time of life held by those who have lived alongside the sea.
