Seventeen-year-old Katie Thompson can see ghosts, a terrifying curse triggered by her brother's tragic death. To help her heal, Katie's exhausted parents send her to a recovery center. This forces Katie and her estranged mother, Tami, onto a long-distance train to Washington. As old family tensions flare, Katie receives ghostly warnings of a sinister presence on board. Tami is skeptical at first. However, she must soon face the truth about her daughter's gift and the darkness around them.
