Daniil Talich, who used to work in law enforcement and lived in Moscow, is fleeing from problems in provincial Vseslavsk. In search of peace and stability, he gets a job at the local library. When strange events begin to happen around Daniel, fate brings him together with a local police detective, Glyceria Davydova. They team up to investigate the case and gradually become a real team.
