January 1940. Liang Shuo, a Communist underground operative with a head wound, awakened in a snowbound mountain and his memory was gone. Drawn to Shanghai by fragmented clues to reclaim his identity, he'd hunted by Japanese forces. Then the Wang Jingwei regime's 76th Agency identified him as their Operations Director. As Japan and Wang Jingwei's government prepared their "Peace & Prosperity Conference," a group of imprisoned laborers would be sent to the frontlines.
