While investigating a high-profile and complex case, Anastasia Zorina seeks help from independent expert Kirill Lemke, a teacher of pathological anatomy and an employee of the tissue regeneration laboratory. Thanks to his knowledge, the case is closed. After that, the leadership of the Investigative Committee decides to create an investigative group consisting of experts in various fields: biology, physics and chemistry. The department gets the name "Academy", it includes Kirill Lemke and other students to help solve the most complicated cases.
