Pikul and Luang Yot's love began when he saved her from drowning in Suphan. As a talented flutist in her father's orchestra, Pikul's family moved in with Luang Yot's family, supported by his father. Class differences led them to elope, but their love is cursed by a "rattlesnake" flute Pikul inherited. Sarapee, in love with Luang Yot, kills Pikul's family and his mother. In the end, Pikul dies thinking Luang Yot betrayed her, while he is killed by Sarapee. In their second life, Pikul's vengeful spirit seeks to make those responsible pay for their karma.
