Maarten Meinema is appointed as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs when his predecessor unexpectedly dies. But as soon as all kinds of political corpses come out of the closet and one crisis after another presents itself, he has great difficulty earning the trust of his staff. If it also turns out that he is being plagued by personal demons, the pressure increases to great heights.
