Kamijo Shinobu, unrequited in love with his former classmate Kashiwagi Kazuka, returns to Japan for the first time in 10 years after moving with his parents to Germany. Kazuko works as a librarian. She has loved books since childhood, and, based on certain experiences in the past, is fond of reading, believing that books are more important than romance.
