The occasion is sad, as Wolff-Dieter Meurer recently died. He was popular in the town of Lassahn in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, in complete contrast to his wife Gaby Krolmann-Meurer. Now his four children have come to the funeral. While Sabine Stenz-Meurer, Thorsten, Mario and Kevin and other guests at the funeral talk about their father's memory, old stories soon surface that show the past in a new light. When inheritance disputes begin to boil over, devotion is over.
