A pair of pop-oriented songwriters -- melodist/singer Bobby and tone-deaf lyricist Lionel -- try to eke out a living in the Los Angeles music scene. They live (along with Bobby's younger sister Jennifer) in an antique shop, and Bobby works on the side as a recording engineer until he and Lionel get their big break.
