Nhat Phi is a poor country boy who lives with his parents, younger sister Be Bat, younger brother Ut Mot and grandmother. As the eldest son, he is an example to his sister and brother and to the pride of his parents. One day, his parents died in a big storm and his grandmother died shortly afterwards, leaving him alone with his sister and brother. To support his family, Nhat Phi decides to drop out of school and head to the city in search of a new job. After several small jobs, he was hired as a manager at a hotel where he met Luc Koi, a wealthy client he would fall in love with.
