Nikolas Heldt alias Kai Schumann is more human as an investigator and more normal as a human being than you would expect from a hero, let alone a superhero. He is a detective superintendent in Bochum, casual and sometimes quite cool. But he's not an alien with superpowers, he doesn't wear a mask or a full body costume in bright colors. The answer to the question, when someone is a hero, depends how often in life on the perspective.
