Kano Akihito, a reserved man who moved from the technical department to sales, struggles to fit in and feels isolated at work. His relationship with his talented colleague Ogami Seiji becomes strained due to an incident, leaving him torn between admiration and inferiority. One night, Akihito discovers a mysterious mirror at a shrine and he wished that "I want to become someone who can laugh together with Ogami as an equal."
