Heroine Gu Nianhe is the domineering leader of XianYi sect, whose members have been forced to serve a General through poisoning. One day she sneaks into the General's mansion to find clues about the antidote, and there she finds and rescues a mysterious, wounded man, Mu Yichuan. She takes him as her servant and they make a deal: Mu Yichuan will tell her all he knows about the antidote if she heals him. Despite their initial untrust, in the process, the two of them grow closer.
