Olga gets a job as a nanny for the charismatic businessman Artamonov, a man with an impeccable reputation and a model family man. He bears the trials he's faced with dignity: his wife, Galina, suffers from a severe mental disorder and has already attempted to kill him. One day, while walking with Anya, Olga sees a woman in town who resembles Galina. This strikes her as odd, as Artamonov's wife never leaves the house. The next day, Galina falls down the stairs and is hospitalized unconscious. Anya finds a letter from her mother, warning her of dire danger and begging her to flee the house.
