Ivan, who just turned 50, has two daughters: the eldest, the hero Marya, and the youngest, the aspiring sorceress Sophia. Everything in Belogorye goes on as usual, but the visit of the sorcerer Severin, who imagined a terrible disaster, brings confusion into the measured life of the wizards. To save both Belogorye and the life of her own father, Sophia will have to go to the Moscow of the past, where the young and unsuspecting Ivan still lives, and Marya will have to fight evil in the city itself.
