The Return is the first Ukrainian series about a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, created in close collaboration with veterans. After suffering a serious injury, professional soldier Oleksandr Krechet can no longer return to the front lines and is forced to find his place in civilian life.After regaining consciousness following an amputation, Oleksandr faces not only physical pain, but also inner demons — the image of his fallen comrade Serhiy Verba appears in his mind. Krechet tries to support his friend's family, help his wife and son cope with their loss and withstand new trials. Through the power of friendship, the absurd situations of civilian life, and the gradual acceptance of his new self, the hero embarks on a journey of true return — home and to his own identity.
