Large businessman Sergey Gradov has a conflict with his long-term business partner Aleksandr Rubtsov. The cause of the conflict is the Guryanovsky Machine-Building Plant. Rubtsov believes that it is necessary to get rid of the unprofitable enterprise, and Gradov is confident that the plant needs modernization. Gradov does not realize that the real reason for Rubtsov's refusal from the plant is a family drama twenty-five years ago.
