Vasily Baranov, who built a business abroad, falls under foreign sanctions and is suddenly deprived of everything. The news finds him in his native Semibolotsk, where he has not been for almost thirty years. Vasily turns to his family for support, but no one talks to him. Thinking that the reason lies in his sudden poverty, the former oligarch decides to get rich again in order to regain the respect of his father and ex-fiancee, and now the mayor's wife.
