In the center of history is a person with a unique ability to distinguish sounds, to catch noises that are inaudible to ordinary people. His name is Alexander Bertenev, and for friends he is just Schubert. Now he works as a sound engineer, but a few years ago just one mistake prevented his career as an employee of the antiterrorist department. The tragic events again lead the young man to the special services. The unknown kill his wife Olga, and then they tear up the apartment. After a while, Schubert finds out that the beloved woman, whom he considered an ordinary psychologist, led a double life ... Who and for what killed her is the main secret that the hero decides with the help of the sound ciphers left by Olga.
