The action takes place in Crow Castle Soria Moria, a forest village. Soria Moria is a guest house, and has been the village's main hall for all these years. During the war, the owner, called "Great Erling", was shot by the Germans here, and his ghost is repeated on Soria Moria. At the beginning of the series, it is his granddaughter Ragnhild who runs the boarding house together with her husband Håvard. But then a German company buys the crow castle, and an ex-policeman Magnus is hired as manager. He has to deal with new and old residents, and all their problems.
