The Large Family is based on Jill Murphy's best-selling picture books about a warm-hearted family of elephants. Each episode follows the everyday (and often not so everyday) happenings of family life with Mum, Dad and their four children: Lester, Laura, Luke and baby Lucy. They go to school, play with friends, make trips to the supermarket, go to work, start new hobbies and long for the summer holidays - just like humans.Elephants they may be, but in every other way the Large Family are just like us.
