Detective Marie Výrová investigates a closed case concerning the hideous murder of a small child on the outskirts of Olomouc, which took place thirty years previously. She is convinced of the innocence of the person accused of the crime. The story is told partly in flashback showing the events leading to the murder and in the present day showing the investigation and conclusion of the case.
