Web novelist Xiaowei builds her career writing powerful romances. But in real life, she often ends up being the one getting cheated on. The pressure becomes too much that she decides to go on an exile to Kenting in Southern Taiwan. Xiaowei befriends three Kenting locals - Hanwen, Liangliang and Azuo. She also becomes friends with Anan, a young man who also travels southward to Kenting. The five of them experience struggles, love, losses, pain, self-discoveries and much more. The story also tells of a prominent financial holding company that arbitrarily modifies the development proposal put forth by Chu Yiyang, and goes on land grabbing through Zhong Hanwen, incurring the wrath of the locals.
