Hamid Rahmanian

Hamid Rahmanian is an Iranian-born American multi-disciplinary artist who has worked mostly in cinema, illustration, and shadow theater. Since the late 1980s, he has produced works that draw on traditional Iranian visual forms while incorporating contemporary techniques such as digital design and multimedia staging. His projects include documentary and narrative films, large-scale shadow plays, and illustrated and pop-up adaptations of the Shahnameh. Rahmanian lives and works in New York City.
