Hollyoaks is a British television soap opera that was first broadcast on 23 October 1995. The following is a list of characters that have appeared or will appear in the serial in 2018, by order of first appearance. All characters were introduced by executive producer, Bryan Kirkwood. The first characters to be introduced were Scarlett Morgan and Oliver Morgan, the estranged wife and son of Luke Morgan. Buster Smith, the father of Damon Kinsella, was also introduced in January. Theo Jones, the brother of Milo Entwistle, Harley Frater, the homeless friend of Peri Lomax, and Josh Bradley, the son of Ben Bradley, made their debut in April. Breda McQueen and Sylver McQueen, the mother and brother of Goldie McQueen, and Kameela, the sister of Misbah Maalik, first appeared in June.
